Ministry to children at Covenant reflects our conviction that children are members of the covenant community. We place great importance on helping parents fulfill their covenantal obligations to rear their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. The following opportunities are offered for the growth of our little ones:
We offer childcare in the NURSERY for infants and toddlers through age three, during all worship services and the Wednesday evening programs. The Sleepers, Creepers, and Leapers rooms are equipped with changing areas and other age-appropriate materials for the children.
The CHILDREN’S WORSHIP HOUR is for children ages four and five and is held during the second half of Sunday morning worship. The goal of this time is to have age appropriate biblical teaching in preparation for transition to the corporate worship service. Children are dismissed from worship and participation is completely voluntary.
The CHILDREN’S CHRISTIAN EDUCATION HOUR (also known as Sunday School) meets at 9:30 on Sunday mornings for children two years and older. Caring and faithful teachers give instruction in the basics of our faith during this time.
On WEDNESDAY EVENING there are activities for children in grades kindergarten through fifth. The activities offered vary from year to year. Please contact the church office for more information. Programs for youth (grades 6 though 12) are covered under Youth Ministries.
The CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER is a community service and outreach of Covenant. It is a nurturing pre-school with a purposed Christian worldview. It is our prayer that through this ministry the LORD be pleased to bring unsaved children and their parents to Christ.
