Rev. David B. McWilliams, Ph.D., Senior Minister

Dr. McWilliams is the Senior Minister at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Lakeland and has served there for nearly 30 years. He is married to Vicky and they have a son Evan who lives in England, currently pursuing theological studies in preparation for pastoral work there. David’s passions are the study of Scriptures, Reformed and Puritan theology, Christ-centered preaching, and shepherding people. He is a graduate of Mercer University (B.A.), of Westminster Theological Seminary (M.A.R., M.Div.) and of the University of Wales (Ph.D.) Formerly, Dr. McWilliams served as Associate Professor of Systematic Theology on the faculty of Westminster Theological Seminary in Dallas. Dr. McWilliams has authored numerous articles published in the Westminster Theological Journal, Modern Reformation, and others, as well as Galatians: A Mentor Commentary  and the Hebrews volume for the Lectio Continua Commentary Series. Dr. McWilliams also serves on the Board at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Greenville, S. C.

Rev. Jeff McDonald, Associate Minister

Pastor McDonald has been a minister at Covenant since 1999. He and his wife, Robyn, have two sons, Zachary and Joshua. Jeff is passionate about equipping our youth with a solid Christian world view so that they can readily articulate their faith. Jeff is a graduate of the University of New Mexico and Westminster Theological Seminary (Escondido, California, M.Div).

Bill Campbell, Staff Ruling Elder


Bill has been a member of Covenant since 1974 , and a ruling elder since 1986. He holds a B.S. degree with high honors from Illinois State University and spent 36 years providing chemical process equipment to industrial Florida. Bill is passionate about Reformed theology and his incredibly wise and witty wife Lucia. They are blessed with four children: Susan (m. Kevin Sheby), Janie, Will (m. Ellie Hodges), and Ellie (m. John Wilber). Will and John are the only other persons allowed to ride Bill’s Harley.

CB has been on staff at Covenant since June of 2006. CB is married to ruling elder, Frank, and they have a daughter, Elizabeth. CB is passionate about Word and deed gospel ministry. At Covenant, CB is intimately involved with women’s teaching, counseling, discipleship and mercy ministries of the church. In August 2015 CB completed course work required for the Foundations of Biblical Counseling Certificate issued through the Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation (CCEF). Additionally, she attended Union College and Rutgers University and has a degree in Chemical Technology. Prior to joining Covenant’s staff, CB spent many years in laboratory and engineering management.

LouAnn Lewis, Sr. Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Lewis joined the Covenant office staff in 1999. She has a adult son, Justin. LouAnn enjoys spending time with family and helping with the youth ministry at Covenant. She has especially enjoyed being a team member of several youth mission trips.

Eric Holseth, Director of Music


Eric has been with us since August, 2009. He has worked with adult, youth and children’s choirs, soloists, handbell choirs and instrumental ensembles for several churches in the Lakeland and Orlando areas and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Florida State University. His wife, Michelle, holds a Bachelor of Science and Elementary Education degree from the University of South Florida and teaches Fourth Grade. Eric and Michelle are the proud parents of a son, Christian and a daughter, Jordan.

Katharine Corbin, Organist


Mrs. Kae Corbin and her husband, Del, came to Covenant in 1984. Kae loves to participate in corporate worship as Organist. Other interests include the Ladies Ensemble,  the Winds, Chimes, Recorders, Pianists, and the “Music and Art” recital series.

Kelly Lowe, Director, Child Development Center


Mrs. Lowe has been with the CDC since 2009. She and her husband, Mike, have three children. (Their children attended the CDC when they were younger.)  She enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends.  Kelly graduated from Florida Southern College with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Advertising/Public Relations.  This year, Kelly completed the required classes and earned her Florida Child Care Director’s Credential.

Donna Lister, CDC Office Manager


Mrs. Lister has been the CDC Office Manager since 1993. Donna and her husband, Jerry, have a son, Timothy. Donna enjoys spending time with her family and, in particular, enjoys fishing and watching baseball games with them.

Lauren Strawbridge, Director of Children’s Ministry


Lauren has been attending Covenant since 2001, graduated from UF with a degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences, and has served with children’s and youth ministries at Covenant for several years. Lauren and her husband, Rick, have one son.  She loves children, especially the ones at Covenant Presbyterian, and desires to assist families with training their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.  Her prayer is that God will work the truth of His Word way deep down in their hearts so they know and love Him from the earliest age.
