She graduated from Florida Southern College with a Humanities degree and has experience teaching both middle and high school students. Joy-Marie and her husband, Michael, have four rambunctious children.

Laura Strawbridge, Pastors' Assistant

Laura is a native Floridian, growing up in the Orlando area. She met her husband, Vince Strawbridge III, while still in high school and has been married for almost 20 years. Laura and Vince (better known to Covenant as “Beaner”) have four girls and, as a family, they love the outdoors. Besides working part-time serving the pastors at Covenant Presbyterian, Laura serves the church and her family by being actively involved in children’s and women’s ministries, homeschooling her girls, and exploring new homesteading projects.

Lauren Strawbridge, Director of Children's Ministry

Lauren has been attending Covenant since 2001, graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences, and has served with children’s and youth ministries at Covenant for several years. Lauren and her husband, Rick, have two energetic children. She loves children, especially the ones at Covenant Presbyterian Church, and desires to assist families with training their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Her prayer is that God will work the truth of His Word way deep down in their hearts so they know and love Him from the earliest age.
